He's Ford Prefect!!!! buhahaha! he's a character from Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Very very very funny book... I read The Restaurant at the End of the Universe too, and now I'm going to read the third book.
I haven't seen the movie yet because I don't want to corrupt my imagination

if you do see the film, try not to think of it as the REAL hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, because you will be vastly disappointed i try very hard not to compare books with movies, as it would just lead me to crying over the mistakes XD
Not only great drawing, but great character looking too I had similar vision of him. I loveeeee those books, films is great too, but totally different - you've got to see it
Really, the book is better then the movie. At least, better then the new movie. The old BBC series was awesome and way, WAY better then the modern adaptation. I strongly suggest watching the old version before you see the new one. :3
I loved those books!! I read all of them XD They're really funny too I watched the movie...hmmmm...it wasn't the best, really...and they made it end after only the first book! Yeah, be sure to watch it after you read the books

Have you sassed that hoopty Ford Prefect? That's one cool frood who really knows where his towel is.
Awesome pic, he actually looks somewhat the way I always imagined him.
They have a really nice leatherbound edition containing all five books of the trilogy XD You can get it at Barnes n Noble or Boarders, usually ends up on the discount shelf. I think I paid like 10 bucks for mine.
You should check out the BBC TV production, too, if you can find it anywhere. I wasn't much impressed with the movie, mostly 'cause I really didn't like their casting choices. But the series is awesome. It ranks up there with Red Dwarf and Dr Who in my book.

DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
